About Me
I believe in standing up strongly for what I believe in and want other people to do the same. I have to admit to being quite cynical about how genuine many people are. Too many people judge people over the silliness of things : general appearance, colour, cloths style, being fat, being slim, sexual orientation etc. I don't judge people on the above matters, and I'm always happy to find other people of the same thinking.I'm a girl that is partly stuck in the past... I restore, collect and sometimes sell antique and vintage teddy bears (1900's to pre 1960's). Sometimes I also make bears in classic style with mohair and glass eyes. I love aspects from the middle ages, the Victorian era, the 1910's up to 1940's. I really like old antique photographs of people, and of places that often don't even exist anymore. I also love medieval music and costume. European culture holidays are a delight for me and a rare treat (not being rich unfortunately), I adore visiting castles, the country side etc. Tourist resorts and bright humid weather with no accessible shade are evil to me. I would much rather spend days in pre-Victorian and Victorian cemeteries taking endless photographs of ivy, chapels, churches and angles. Point in fact I do that when ever I can ; I am a keen if some what armature photographer. I like eastern philosophy (Buddhist mostly) very much, and spirituality is has importance. I like reading physiology and criminology books as well because I love to understand what makes people tick. I also love old films (pre 1980 to the start of film) including silent movies. I love finding out random facts about anything and everything. I enjoy listening to music, my tastes are quite varied. I have a particular like for German bands which started quite by chance in 2001. The German music scene is very interesting , I'm not talking the typical chart music there though. I also enjoy listening to Depeche Mode! I like lots of pre 90's popular music right back to 1950's. I like some classical , folk and even a tiny bit of dance too! I enjoy classic British comedy such as Carry On films, Steptoe And Son, Frankie Howard anything (love him), Bless This House, Please Sir (early series) and so many more...London is my birth place but I'd rather be some where more green and less busy! To me its a delight to go walking in the rain or to look up at the stars (when I can find them... stupid London!). I desire freedom from the many complications of the modern world and enjoy nothing better than travelling to places of natural beauty. I feel uncomfortable and alien in busy city streets as people rush past - people souls seem to mimic the cold grey streets to me. I think nature can be so wonderful! I love walking in the rain, looking into the sky and seeing the moon, or the pretty clouds at sunset. I love the power of a thunder storm, and I'm fascinated by moody rain clouds. I simply adore forests, meadows and water ways.I'd rather have no one than loads of people that I'm not close to. Closeness in everything matters to me if I can't have that I'll choose to be alone and trust doesn't come easily. I believe strongly in loyally, kindness, love and understanding in friendship. I hate superficial friendship, it must go deeper, I want to share my inner feelings and thoughts with someone. Not just be their drink buddy. I hate the fact so many profiles say looking for a talented person or a person with a good sense of humour. Well I don't care if a person has neither, what I care about is their mind. Yes, you can be utterly boring! =) A friend is not just someone that I would love in good times, but in bad times to. Like wise I want my friends to feel the same. I've realized it's so much harder than one could possibly think to find permanent friendship in this world of text messages and msn/AIM chat (which make me feel quite uncomfortable anyway). I'm also a total tom boy *smiles* You will NEVER find one ounce of makeup on me! No dress's in sight or anything else typically girlie, though I like and have long hair. I often wonder if I should have been born a man. =D I love most Animals and I am keen on seeing better Animal Rights in place around the world for all animals, especially for those animals that are either hunted for sport. I don't think we have a right to treat Animals however we want just because we are Human Beings. I just want to see some respect.
I'm two parts adult and one part child. I love gentle kind hearted people. I'm easily hurt by users. Real friendship based on similar moral, intellectual and emotional levels are what's important in my life. Friends aren’t for entertainment proposes only. With those who truly know me I am warm, giving and playful. I am always wishing to gain further awareness of myself and others. Improvement of the self is imporant to me. I am flawed, I can be over emotional or have selfish thoughts (which I'm trying to remove day by day). I'm often hard on myself. I have hyper moods where I talk a lot! However, I also have very black moods where I talk very little and want to be alone to think. I care very much about being a gentle person and causeing no harm to others.

my fave is the gate! and the grave stones are ace too... you have them nailed..... although the gargoyle things are freaky :P
